Walking is the best possible exercise. Habituate yourself to walk very fast.
— Thomas Jefferson
On a recovery day, sometimes a walk is the perfect recipe to be ready for your next hard workout, especially if you are coming down from intense weekend training. Also, a walk very often turns into a run before you know it. Start slow, finish fast.
Be sure to stretch and try to practice some yoga.
Without a day of the week to recharge from intense training, you are on the road to overtraining, burnout, and injury.
