“It can’t be considered success unless you are smiling.”
– Joe De Sena

Aerobic exercise has positive effects on the brain, both in cognitive function and mood. Countless studies confirm that those cumulative hours spent in your aerobic zone will make you think clearer, feel better, and have more overall energy.

Smiling also has a strong influence on your brain. Even a forced smile will help! When you smile feel-good endorphins are released, much like when you perform aerobic exercise.

So, tomorrow we suggest you double down on brain benefits by setting aside 30 minutes to 2 hours to run with a huge grin on your face. Leave the grimacing at home. Don’t go out trying to set speed or distance records. Instead just kick yourself into a low gear, and cruise at a comfortable pace that you can maintain. Crank the good tunes, and smile! Does it get any better?
